Meet Dr. Nelly
Dr. Nelly Singh is a board-certified family medicine physician who provides thoughtful, relationship-based care with a focus on whole-person health and well-being. Her approach blends preventive medicine, lifestyle medicine and osteopathic principles to support not only physical health, but also the emotional and lifestyle factors that shape overall wellness. She strives to create a welcoming space where patients feel heard, supported and empowered to take an active role in their health.
Dr. Nelly earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her family medicine residency at Garnet Health Medical Center in New York's beautiful Hudson Valley, where she trained in both suburban and rural settings, including the Catskill Mountains region. Her residency included additional training in osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT), supporting a more hands-on and holistic approach to care. She also completed the Lifestyle Medicine & Food as Medicine Essentials certification through the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and received additional training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to better support mental and emotional well-being.
Before pursuing medicine, Dr. Nelly studied business administration and legal studies at Drexel University and worked in journalism and medical editing in Philadelphia. Her background in journalism continues to shape her patient-centered approach, with a strong emphasis on helping individuals better understand their health and feel confident making informed decisions about their care.
Her clinical interests include preventive care, lifestyle medicine, women's health, mental well-being, wilderness medicine and hands-on musculoskeletal medicine. She holds multiple wilderness medicine certifications and has volunteered providing medical care in underserved rural communities in Nicaragua. During residency, she also led a quality improvement initiative focused on increasing awareness and participation in cervical cancer screenings within the family medicine clinic.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Nelly enjoys hiking, yoga, gardening, meditation and spending time with her family, friends and her dogs. Her passion for nature and wellness often overlaps with her medical interests, whether through outdoor leadership, wellness education or incorporating movement and mindfulness into everyday life.
A thoughtful approach to your care
After working within large hospital systems, concierge medicine and private practice, Dr. Nelly recognized that while each model offered its own strengths, none consistently allowed patients the time, accessibility and continuity they truly deserved with their physician. This realization inspired her to create a more personal and modern approach to healthcare through the direct primary care model — one centered on meaningful relationships, unhurried visits and direct access to your doctor. In many ways, it reflects how medicine used to be: a physician who truly knew you and your family, reimagined for today's world.
Dr. Nelly believes healthcare should feel personal, compassionate and collaborative. Her goal is to care for the whole person — meeting patients where they are, listening deeply and partnering with them to support long-term health and a more fulfilling life.
